In December last year, MDPI UK had the pleasure of attending the International Society for Burn Injuries (ISBI) 2025 Regional Conference in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The event took place across two days and welcomed a broad range of presentations and discussions. These included seminars evaluating Therapeutic Exercise as Physiotherapy Intervention in Burn Rehabilitation; Splinting, Orthotics & Serial Casting; Scar Management and Aftercare; Disaster Management; and more.

Across the two days, MDPI sponsored a booth in partnership with 13 of its journals, including the European Burn Journal (EBJ) (ISSN). During this time, the representatives had the chance to speak with many editors, authors, and reviewers from across Europe. These conversations provided our team with fresh insights on the scholarly publishing landscape and the latest developments in the field of study.

Outside of the conference itself, spirits remained high. On the first evening there was a reception for the attendees of the conference during which time traditional food was served to the guests followed by some Greek dancing.

MDPI would like to extend its thanks to the organisers of the ISBI 2025 Regional Conference for making it such a successful event, and to all of the individuals who came and spoke with our conference representatives across the two days.

We look forward to future ISBI events and greatly value our continued collaboration between the European Burns Association (EBA) and ISBI.
